When someone makes a movie with love, you feel it. When the movie is about someone who filled people with love, you feel it. When someone makes a movie about someone she loved, and who loved her back, you feel it. What more is there to say?

Germany Year 90 Nine Zero 1991
There were two films I watched here. One was the film Godard made, which was about Germany, and the direction the country was headed, and where it had been. Another was a personal story for me; an illustration of an important idea for me: we can’t go home again. A part of me is dead, and for some reason Godard’s movies make me very aware of it. I wish I knew how to bring the old me back.
