Suspiria

Suspiria ★★★★½

"Why does everyone think the worst has already happend?"

The movie is nothing if not beautifully crafted. It's a very abstract film that pushes audiences expectations and challenges the viewer to introspectively look at the film. Swinton is and always will be a genius and she brings that to three characters in this film.
The bloody climax of the film is as disturbing as it is complex to try and understand the meaning that lays in the subtext. The themes of power, guilt, and feminism is brilliantly inlayed throughout the film.
To me it's a challenging flick in all the right ways with gorgeous imagery and a lot to digest. A film I will definitely watch over and over and garnish different insights with subsequent viewings.
