dark, comedic, hypnotizing, but above all beautiful.
the lighthouse is so so astounding on a technical level, i feel like it demands to be admired even if you didn’t particularly like it. how disoriented and distressed i felt is a testament to how immersive the sound design is (see this in a theatre if you can).
overall a sweeping descent into madness that goes full on macabre horror in the final act. robert eggers is a bonafide legend me thinks.
