Jean Snow’s review published on Letterboxd:
For most of this movie I was really feeling that, although it was fine, it just wasn't as interesting as the first one. You didn't have the mystery of what is happening, which really kept you on the hook, and helped build tension. Here, it's just about survival, and there's no real surprise. I will say that I did finally get into it during the last third, when, well, a lot of things start happening to the characters, and it did get pretty hectic and I started getting invested in what was happening. But despite all that, I did prefer when it was more a horror film, instead of a post-apocalyptic alien invasion film that Part II has turned into. I don't feel like I'm particularly interested in any more films in this series (they've already announced some sort of spinoff set in this world).
