Jean Snow’s review published on Letterboxd:
It's strange that I've never seen any Phantasm movie, considering how I'm a fan of genre, but noticing that there was a remastered edition of the film on Prime Video, I decided to finally give it a shot, and although I can't say that it's a good movie, I'm still really glad I watched it. I mean, there are definitely some interesting ideas here, and it has me curious about maybe checking out some of the sequels, but for the most part it just features incredibly bad acting throughout, and just weird edited scenes. But like I said, it was still worth it for those, I guess you could call them "iconic" elements like the "death ball" and the tall mortuary dude.
