Jennifer’s review published on Letterboxd:
Deliciously deranged. I was full out gagging at one point. Succeeds in being thoroughly and uniquely disturbing and uncomfortable, but I really wanted it to go deeper than that and I don't feel like it did. In my opinion the best horror films take real life social and societal fears/anxieties and manifest them in terrifying ways, and I feel like this film sort of skimped out on the psychological and metaphorical possibilities they could have explored here. I found its conversation surrounding sexuality particularly muddled.
Major kudos though for being really well shot, sharply directed, and insanely bold and original. Also, I cannot wait to see more from the lead actress.
