Devastating and hopeful. Bleak and beautiful. This is what I want out of a film.

(Yes, we legit watched it twice in a row)

I can be a little harsh on here sometimes. I feel like I tend to have unfair expectations when I go see movies anymore. But as much as I’d like it to, the truth is not every movie needs to change your life. Break and build you back up in intimate little and big ways. Make you think about yourself, others, your relationships, and what you want in a truly different…

Biggest Oscar snub in recent memory: The woman who played Therese’s manager at Frankenberg’s not getting a nomination for Best Supporting Actress.

Truly had one of the best nights yesterday watching this with great friends before I move away. My faith in films, love, & maybe even myself is restored. We drank every time there was a shot through a window or door frame and went to bed extremely drunk, high, and filled with warmth. I’ve actually never watched this film with anyone else before and it felt so nice to share it with others I care about who also love it.
    I’m gonna miss this.

Taking a quick break from my letterboxd hiatus (which I miss more than I expected. I keep going to click on the app but it’s not there 😭) to log this one just because I want to get out all my feelings on it and don’t know anyone who’s seen it.

As someone who loves Westerns (it’s true) and women (but you guys know that already), I was ready to be obsessed with this. But even though I liked it,…

I’m so upset that even this couldn’t cheer me up and I turned it off half way through.

I think I’m done (at least for a while) using this app. Kind of feels like film has ruined my life and chasing after it has just led to a series of disappointments and failures in my career (trying to be a film critic, a PA, an executive assistant, box officer, programmer, etc.) so I kind of don’t want anything to do with it right now. But you guys are all great and I love you.

I love Delphine. It’s been a while since I’ve encountered a character so honest and relatable (or a film that treats them with so much empathy and kindness). She’s naturally sad, anxious, a bit awkward, and lonely. She doesn’t want to be any of these things, but she doesn’t know what to change or how to. And honestly thank goodness, because she’s perfect as is.

I’ll do most things alone. I try not to let it bother me. But traveling…

It could just be that I’m really high but this was so sweet and charming and I cried. Also, that this Muppets/Sesame Street crossover Christmas Special I’d never seen before was the first video result when I googled ‘Muppet watch free online’ is a holiday miracle.
