Jeremiah’s review published on Letterboxd:
Knives Out is surprisingly an emotional roller coaster but not in the way you’d expect. Throughout the film, I found myself alternating between curiosity, disappointment, more curiosity, satisfaction, and vicarious triumph.
Whodunnits are so hard to get right and, ngl, Knives Out barely hits the mark for me. Whodunnit reveals need to be shocking (see the Scream franchise, specifically the fourth entry [yes, I know the fourth entry isn’t the best in the series but the killer reveal—you know which one—still shocks me to my core]).
Overall, Knives Out is a great ride with spectacular performances from everyone despite not being as jaw-dropping as I would’ve liked.
PS: Jamie Lee Curtis is only getting hotter.
