I had not seen Mulan before this, so I had no preconceived notions at all. In fact, the only thing I knew about this movie was from trailers for the live-action version coming soon to theaters--which looks DOPE! But to be honest, this left me with, maybe incorrect expectations for Mulan, circa 1998.
