Jeremy Estrada’s review published on Letterboxd:
The absolute best baseball movie ever made. It literally checks everything off the list. Sound, pacing, editing, directing, great characters, etc. Everything is exactly where it should be and there’s nothing that’s out of place. I suppose young people today would find lots of stuff offensive about this movie (i.e. Charlie Sheen and the racist iconography), which would probably defer them from watching it. It’s a shame because this film is marvelous. I haven’t seen every baseball movie, but I know it’s damn near impossible to find one better than this.
