Jeremy Heilman’s review published on Letterboxd :
The closer that Watts hews to the high school milieu and the more that he banks on Holland’s labored dorkiness, the more he succeeds at creating an irreverent take on the character. Roughly half the film – both the scenes involving the cynical Tony Stark and those belaboring Michael Keaton’s MacGuffin – falls entirely flat, though. Still, it is about as good as these recent Marvel films get. A climactic battle atop a camouflaged airplane offers a few minutes of beautiful abstraction.
