Now before anyone starts complaining listen for a second, I thought the movie was pretty great! It has a lot of good things going for it that really make it strong, but I do find it to be a little overrated. Let’s start off with that I really liked, first off John David Washington and Adam Driver slay it. They both do an incredible jobs in their roles and really put their all into it too, I also really liked the filming, it has this natural feel to it that comes off incredibly strong and really captivating as well. The writing is also pretty solid as well (although the humor mixed with the tone at times is kind of off putting at times), now here’s a few things I had a problem with the movie. I really wish some of the other characters had some more character development, there’s a few subplots showing some characters but they never went anywhere which kind of frustrating at one point. I also felt the ending could have been a lot better, it felt like it was a cheap way to close a movie that had some very powerful moments. But overall BlackKklansman was a very solid movie that while I did not like it nearly as much as a lot of people did, I still found it to be pretty great and I definitely respect what the movie is trying to do! I definitely recommend giving this one a go!
