so after 3 re-watches I've finally settled on a score and I've come to realize that this is easily the best out of the sequel trilogy.

I think my main hatred for this movie from a while back was because nothing really happened in this movie and that was one of the reasons why The Rise of Skywalker had to be so rushed.

I will say that this is the most symbolic star wars movie and I like me some symbolism in movies, I think the main reason this movie gets so much hate is because it's not a good star wars film, Rian Johnson was obviously trying to accomplish something far deeper than most star wars movies go, if I were grading this as a star wars movie it would be a 1.5 or a 2, however despite some of the awful characters (Finn, Poe, Holdo and Rose) I like what this movie did with Luke, Rey and Kylo, Rey isn't a complete Mary-Sue like she is in The Rise of Skywaler and Force
Awakens, and Kylo's dilemma is quite an interesting progression, and one of the reasons I hate the rise of skywalker so much is because it takes the good things from this movie (along with everything else) and throws it down the toilet, easily the best looking star wars movie but I don't like to count special effects as positives, so I'm gonna have to give The Last Jedi a B
