Finally! I've always wanted to see this for so long. I had a chance to watch it at CineFamily in Los Angeles, CA, about a decade ago, but missed it. FilmStruck had it though!
Excellent children's entertainment. The onslaught of puns, the broad interrelatedness of the jokes, dialog, and slapstick. The sets, the designs. The film noir influence. There's a ton of legit elements to this work. Including that cheesy unrelated music in the end credits.
