    The Squid and the Whale


    This is my tenth time seeing Noah Baumbach's masterpiece since 2011 and I'm still discovering new details or personal connections that resonate with me. Considering how short the scenes are I love how densely they establish these characters and their relationships, taking us on a hilarious, emotional arc across its brisk 80 minutes. Plus that final shot is just fantastic. One of my all-time favourites, The Squid and the Whale is absolutely perfect from beginning to end.
