Just 28 of my favorite films by Black filmmakers, by no means a well thought curation of their history, which I have no qualifications to do such a thing. Limited it to one film per director, also omitted Spike Lee and Ryan Coogler, not to denigrate them, they've just overshadowed every other filmmaker here, so let 'em have a list without Spike and Coogler for once.
