Worst Call of Duty campaign ever.
But honestly you can’t expect an audience to be impressed with gorgeous, well choreographed set pieces if you ostracize them for the other 105 minutes of the movie. There’s a difference between challenging an audience and just making them sit at the kid’s table for two and a half hours. Is it possible to understand this movie? Sure. Are there flowcharts on the internet to walk you through it? Absolutely. But it certainly doesn’t help with obfuscated writing and uninterested characters. It’s a movie that constantly asks you to “feel it” but is devoid of any tangible emotion. Too much what and not enough why.
I’m convinced Christopher Nolan invented Covid to justify Tenet’s box office performance.
