Eaten Alive! The Rise and Fall of the Italian Cannibal Film ★★★½

Not really into these cannibal films (Eli Roth's GREEN INFERNO is my favourite aside from the classic CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST lol), but this is still an interesting essay on the movement.

Lotta talking heads and snippets from the movies as you'd expect, but it's interesting hearing from the directors of the time. It's not going to have me rooting through the guts of the sub-genre looking for pearls any time soon, as I have probably seen all the best bits in things like this. Plus nobody here is really trying to sell them.

It's a bad wave.
