Jim Drew’s review published on Letterboxd:
A Blumhouse 'Hunger Games' is enough of a concept to sell me. But setting it in the current hate-fuelled States, and having the insufferable Left hunting down the deplorable Right for sport. *chef's kiss
It's everything I could have wanted from this really. Both sides get a ribbing but it's the evil liberals getting the lion's share of the bites it feels. It feels slightly novel almost. Though there is still the not so guilty pleasure of seeing assumed MAGAs getting impaled, blown up and then impaled again.
As it threatens to run out of steam as the numbers whittle down, we get a nice Kill Bill-esque (both volumes!) kitchen scene. *kiss the chef again
