    Jupiter Ascending

    ★★★½

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

This has easily got to be one of the silliest films I've ever seen. The plot was kind of tacked on to support the special effects, the dialogue was weird and didn't flow very well and the characters motivations didn't make a great deal of sense. If you love the art of cinema, chances are you will hate this movie.

    Pacific Rim

    ★★★★

Pacific Rim is a film about giant robots fighting giant monsters. That should be enough of a review for most people who are interested in seeing this kind of film. For everyone else, I suppose I can go a bit more in depth.

I mean I suppose back in the days of Terminator (I & II only) you…

    Hellboy II: The Golden Army

    ★★½

I have an odd relationship with this film. One the one hand I feel like most of the characters are better developed than in the first film, the art direction and action scenes are truly stunning and Luke Goss is, as always, a mesmerising presence on the screen. On the other hand the story is weak, a good portion of the acting is substandard at best and the script is, in parts very good, but for the most part trite…
