Sundance #27
**The story of Fred Hampton, chairman of the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party.**
Incredibly good late award season push from Warner Bros.
Daniel Kaluuya and Lakeith Stanfield are obviously at their best. The most notable thing about this film is the direction from Shaka King. I really hope they push for a Best Director nod.
I don't really think I need to tell you about racism in 1960s America and I definitely don't have to tell you about FBI corruption. But this is a poignant story about how the US Government had an entire ILLEGAL program with the sole purpose of eliminating their political opponents that they executed and barely paid for.
