So, slightly controversial opinion time (that is not controversial, but I'm saying that for the drama)
I liked this one more than Homecoming. I liked Jake Gyllenhaal's Mysterio a lot. He really was perfectly cast.
MJ is finally a character too, so that was really nice!
Peter trying to navigate a post Iron Man and Snap world was also super interesting. The humor in this movie was turned up A LOT, but most, if not all the jokes landed. Unfortunately, the big twist is super predictable if you have any idea who the characters in this movie are in the comics, but it was still super exciting. This felt like a tender hug after Endgame, and I'm pretty sure most of us needed it.
Also, the mid-credit scene is FUCKING AWESOME! STAY FOR IT! IT IS SETTING UP THE NEXT MOVIE TO BE AMAZING!
And the post-credit scene is a great gateway into the next MCU phase, whatever it might be..... (lol)
I'd love to share my spoiler-filled thoughts, but I'll wait until I go see this again so everyone else who doesn't go to a movie three hours before work has a chance to go see it.
