  I think what makes Ostlund movies work is his apparent lack of self righteousness. It would be easy to dismiss his satires as such and question if he is part of the problems he’s lampooning or part of the solutions. But…

  An erotic thriller about forbidden desire, repressed feelings and the overwhelming nature of love that leaves you shattered.

  And yet it has the sexual tension of an empty room.

  A much stronger screenplay and story than it is a piece of directing and an execution of its genre.
