In modern heist films:
"The safe is in a pressurised chamber where the temperature of your breath will trigger the alarm"
"If the wire is cut the alarm goes of"
"Damn they thought of everything!"
Very interesting that the enemies of this clearly pro union film are corrupt leaders of that union. They way they controlled who got to work and who didn't makes it almost look like they are just regular bosses. Maybe it does add a dimension of having the corrupt come from something that is meant bring security.
If you told me in 2019 that next year David Lynch will be starting a YouTube channel where he mostly tries to explain the weather I'd probably say: "Yeah, that sounds like something he'd do".
What I didn't expect would be that the ongoing David Lynch weather-reports-and-also-expressionistic-short-films-on-Youtube experiment that we are getting is one of the more exciting happenings in cinema 2020.
It feels like a glimpse into the alternate universe where YouTube people back in 2006 en masse decided to make art film instead of bike reparation tutorials.
