Jackson Margolis’s review published on Letterboxd:
Somehow this film took different parts of the largely different "The Departed," "Zodiac," and "Knives Out" and managed to achieve excellence. This ranks near the top of my lists as far as Who-Done-It Thrillers and faith themed films. While Gyllenhaal's performance didn't always land, I found the maze-like plot structure and logical conclusion to be captivating. Many reviews point out the ending as silly or flawed; however, given the themes of faith and imprisonment, it's the only finale that works. I highly recommend this feature for anyone seeking an edge-of-your seat tale that will make them stop and reconsider their own limitations and beliefs.
