I legitimately did not want 'La La Land' to end! I was so engrossed in the film, that I felt let down when the credits began to roll.
Chazelle has created a truly enamoring film here, a significant movie musical for the 21st Century. It features some fantastic music and dance numbers, as well as a top notch Jazz heavy soundtrack.
Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling may have the best on-screen chemistry of any two actors working today. It is clear that they feed off of each other and elevate each other's performances. They both have such great ranges as performers, and were able to showcase that range in this film. Both should be in the conversation for their respective leading performer categories. They really did put on a great show!
Speaking of awards, I imagine this will also be a big player for the Best Picture and Best Director categories. I cant say I have seen many movies better than this one this year.
