Javon Williams’s review published on Letterboxd:
The back of the box describes this film as "Hyperkinetic… equal parts Kill Bill, La Femme Nikita, and John Wick". And that's… kind of exactly what it is; complete with a scorned bride, an assassin school, and a crazy sword fight on motorcycles.
And yet this film is far from derivative. There's enough novelty and inventiveness in its pacing, its genre mixing, and especially its insane stunts, super unique camerawork, and compelling acting to keep the hitman revenge tropes feeling fresh and exciting.
Overall, at times it does feel like the “La Femme Nikita in Korea” DLC pack for the John Wick videogame. But the greater focus on genuine emotion (and Korean melodrama) over action distinguishes it as more than a mere clone of either.
