Those movies that for me encapsulate the best what I think those words that Jonas Mekas expressed meant. Movies that aren't concerned with being perfect narratively or technically and instead indulge in their own imperfection in order to find expression within their form. Especial emphasis on those that might break traditional storytelling structures for the sake of pleasure, but also those who possess the freedom of letting its images exist outside what's normative or logical.
Will limit me for now to a single film per director to not saturate the list with some director's entire filmographies.
