Jojo Catbagan’s review published on Letterboxd:
Parasite is a wicked story about the division between the ‘abundance’ and the ‘insufficiency’ with stunning cinematography and an insane amount of humor and violence. It actually reminds me so much of Us (2019, Jordan Peele)!!! I think Parasite and Us could be a great double feature. They not only address the same themes, they are also genre films in which comedy and horror/thriller go hand in hand. This one was perfectly directed and written though.
Really deserving as the winner of this year’s Golden Palm. Congratulations again, Bong Joon-ho. All hail Asian Cinema!
