Had to fight back tears (not sure why I did) during that action finale. Something deeply moving about watching a trained instinct and adrenaline kick in in a desperately quotidian context, away from all the hostile terrain that two of these (by all accounts uncomplicated) boys had signed up for. The absolute folly involved (the terrorist gets put to sleep, i.e. choked out like a baby, virtually in a nappy), and the many contingencies that undergird the heroism as it's unfolding.
