The Holy Mountain

The Holy Mountain ★★★★½

Pretty much a masterpiece that breaks the rules of narrative story-telling and instead tries to evoke a religious experience, while criticizing society's greed to achieve success and meaning, creating an unique and one-of-a-kind experience that I have never had in my life.

The only thing that bugged me was I wish the last-third was as surreal as the first one, since the film had built that feeling throughout most of it. However, the ending makes up for that and is one of my favorites ever.

I'm really tempted to give this a 5 star, but for now I'll leave it like this and let the movie grow on me for a bit and see what happens.
