Pretty scenery and a bombastic score doing a lot of heavy lifting for a ho-hum plot with a heavy handed message.

The Deep Dark 2023
Halfway there. Visually it’s shot well and the mines are atmospheric, albeit very similar looking. The practical creature looks great, but can’t move, which is really unfortunate.
The climax hints at a much larger, more interesting story that would have been really cool to explore, but instead the film just rifts on The Descent…which is a much better underground creature film.
