Rocketman ★★½

Rocketman has its’ signature style by being more of a musical than a biopic, which is unique in itself but also hard for me because I am NOT a musical person.

Other than a pretty good lead performance from Egerton, Rocketman might appeal to the biopic audience and people that kind of want some spice to their dish, but this is still the same dish with the same by the numbers and cliched sequences that would make Dewey Cox guffaw. It’s repetitive and overlong and we’ve, sadly, just seen better than this.
