There is absolutely no effort made to be subtle or surprising or even suspenseful, which the filmmakers try to paper over with camp to inconsistently successful degrees. It kind of just says everything it's thinking at all times, which is annoying, but it's also smart in its own way, and sticks it to respectability gays, incels, and Republican women. Also I liked Nicole's girlboss haircut a lot.
The most movie of any movie this year, and yet ... I could have used a
bit more movie? Lady Gaga playing the Queen of the Damned is so much fun, and Al Pacino makes the courageous and correct decision to just do "Godfather Part III" scenes when the camera is on him, but the real gag is that Jared Leto is fully delightful in the role of What If Chef Boyardee Were a Failson.
