Joey’s review published on Letterboxd:
Exists in a grey area between dumb self-aware fun and taking itself too seriously. It takes a lot of time to get started and when it finally does, it loses focus more often than not. Though, overlong Snyder flicks are obviously nothing new 😅
His work as DP on the other hand was really awesome! I loved some of the imagery here and the overall look and even world-building were just great. Perhaps worthy of a Production Design Oscar nom…?
Also, props for how he managed to tackle the father-daughter element in the midst of it all. A dynamic that has clearly become very important to him now.
