    Saturday Night Fever

Sister was over, decided she wanted to watch it. You forget how narcissistic and bleak this is. Nobody comes of well.

‘ℂ𝕒𝕨! ℂ𝕒𝕨! 𝔹𝕒𝕟𝕘! 𝔽𝕦𝕔𝕜, 𝕀'𝕞 𝕕𝕖𝕒𝕕!‘

Easy to forget how huge this was 1994. Still
remember the bus stop bill posters. I’ve wanted to watch it since coming out of The Batman months ago. Because it takes a surface aesthetic.. the grime.. the downpour. But not a zeitgeist. In 2022 this feels even more realised than I remember it being. Not just a series of music video showcasing it’s soundtrack. It’s tight, dialogue is fresher than I remember it being. Just…

    Spider-Man: Far From Home

It’s a real mix. The National Lampoon’s European Vacation stuff is excellent. Wrapped in possibly the worst Spiderman movie to date. Terrible lazy idea. The real thrill ride was Parker keeping them Air Max One’s clean with 90 gallons of venetian sewage water being fired at him. Edge of your seat stuff.

Still don’t understand why Disney doesn’t see any investment in going back fixing CGI. Let’s face it, it’s a good move that let down by a floaty CGI finally on the mono rail.

    Spider-Man: Homecoming

This has gone up in my estimation. Even the music worked better. It’s just that Spiderman kicking about Queens. Just feels like tactile New York. No Downtown high rise and tourist NYC landmarks just Staten Island Ferry and Corner shop front ATM booths.

That lack of confidence in SM back stage at the Brixton gig says so much about their breaking up during Terror Twilight now.

Here for the Jaw.Road Eyes.. Poppin’ off and fking about back stage to Cinnamon Girl & Like a Hurricane, best scene dock job in the world.

Lucasfilm slammed Neil Young. C&D opportunity never sleeps.

    Ford Perfect.

This looks astonishing.. It’s Terry Gilliam making Fifth Element. Some of it is jaw dropping to look at.. beautiful. This was made with a 3rd of the budget of Revenge of the Sith, and in 2022 it possibly looks like a Blackpool toy filmed at 1080i in comparison to this at it’s best.
