Congrats to JJ for making a movie so lacking in pacing, earned emotional beats, true character development, consequence of action, and actual obstacles for our growing team of protagonists that I lost all hope of a decent movie one minute in.
I was exhausted watching this. I was so angry. Every three minutes we are either introduced to new characters, new worlds, or both, and the once very complex and solid group of protags is forced into less development, stupid…
Saw this at an ~Academy screening~ in Beverly Hills with a post-screening panel made up of the director, writer, producer, editor, and vfx guy and that was one of the handful of actually entertaining moments from the night. Not a bad film, but there are other existential and introspective space flicks I enjoy more.
ALSO brad pitt cannot be a day over 40 what an ageless god of a man.
