A masterpiece that left me with so much to think about. I have been intrigued about this for so long and I am probably even more intrigued about it now. A film with a behind-the-scenes story that's just as interesting as its on-screen story. The script was insane - I was doing my best to try and remember as many quotes as I could.
I didn't pick up on all the religious undertones but I thought a lot about what Tarkovsky says about existentialism, trust and greed. I also love how much time this film allowed me to think about the philosophy behind it during those long takes - soaking in the atmosphere and the world he created. For 2 hours and 40 minutes I believed in Stalkers, the Zone and the Room. I am so excited to see Solaris
