Ma is such an oddity of a film. On the one hand, it is a enjoyable thrill-ride with a hilarious performance from Octavia Spencer and on the other hand it is a really poorly written script with very unlikeable characters. I cannot say that I hated it nor can I say I loved it either. Ma meets right in the middle, it’s trashy fun for the sake of it where film logic is thrown right out the window. This film is like Jeff Wadlow’s Truth or Dare and Fantasy Island, both very bad but very enjoyable films. This is such a bad but fun and enjoyable film that I’ll never forget
