John Constantine’s review published on Letterboxd:
A movie like this, which combines satire with sentiment, should not work as well as it does; the two elements are contradictory. The fact that it does work, that the movie moves so swiftly from outrageous comedy to tenderness and even tragedy, is actually kind of a miracle. If Taika Waititi was not amongst the ranks of the great modern directors before, he certainly is now. This is a great film.
