Put me in the camp of people who think 1917 would have worked better as a video game. Except video games have trouble rendering even a single emotion, let alone the thousands of emotions that flash across George Mackay 's face every second, so that might be a bit of an issue.
As a side note, I watched this in the Imax here in Warsaw and that first explosion hit so loud, my teeth rattled. I’ve never heard anything like it in the cinema before. Is this what it’s like to have PTSD?
