John Kelly’s review published on Letterboxd:
There's a whole load of "this is my first indie film so of course I have to have Sigur Ros on the soundtrack" going on in Starfish, but there's also a lot to admire too. Like, the overall tone of the film is this wonderful mishmash of Upstream Colour and Gareth Edward's Monsters and for a first time filmmaker, those are really good marks to hit. And I'll be honest, I found the third-act library trip to be genuinely exciting and fun.
But is it weird to say I wish the film was a little less personal? As the credits rolled, I felt extremely awkward and uncomfortable like I'd just watched someone process something very private and intimate.
