The perfect length for a film is 90 minutes.
I rank with my heart and I often go back and revise.
I was extremely surprised by how heartfelt and enjoyable this was. The kid actors are some of the best I’ve seen. I really enjoyed how empathetic the story telling was, when this could have easily been a really voyeuristic look at class and racism in Canada.
There’s some flaws in the film making here for sure, but it also gets an easier rating because it hits so close to home for me.
