My personal favorite of the series! Much like Halloween or Hellraiser the director/creator intent not to direct the SAME THING over and over but promise to atleast be involved in the making of the sequels for a bit, Wes is atleast back to get the story back on track & brought in Frank Darabont and director Chuck Russell to give audiences the sequel that they deserve. No offense Part 2 you're still loved even if you are a bastard in this series. Heather Langenkamp and John Saxon reprising their roles gives more legitimacy to the whole thing too. It really is a rousing 3rd act as Nancy helps The Dream Warriors use their Dream Power to fight Freddy. As a trilogy A Nightmare on Elm Street would've had closure but Freddy brought New Line Cinema way too much money to call it quits.
