List Addicts Challenge #1: Stephen King
Pretty good B-movie-esque film with interesting themes involving this microcosm of a panicked society trapped in a grocery store, full of hammy overacting and Thomas Jane as the classic straight man. Most of these characters are quite memorable (FUCK MRS. CARMODY) and their conflicts are so wild to watch, even if the dialogue can sometimes not be up to par (What the fuck was up with that Sesame Street line?). The CGI monster effects surprisingly hold up a lot better than I thought and the designs are so gross & slimy, I love it. One of the most horrifying and mean-spirited endings I have ever seen in a film. It's just kind of a fun ride.
