A haunting, imaginative, thought-provoking, and often darkly hilarious take on teen angst and the concepts of time travel and the Apocalypse, Donnie Darko is a brilliant genre-blending writing and directorial debut from Richard Kelly that hugely impresses with its pitch-perfect performances, beautiful cinematography, great soundtrack, interesting ideas, memorable characters, and fantastic dialogue.
