Dawson Joyce’s review published on Letterboxd:
My official 5,000th Letterboxd write-up. Yes, it is hard to believe.
About as perfect an adaptation as you can get, Autumn de Wilde's Emma captures the spirit of Jane Austen's beloved source material beautifully while also modernizing it in legitimately clever and unique ways that will satisfy both fans of the novel and newcomers alike, with hilarious humor, always-engaging drama, rich characters, sharp dialogue, gorgeous cinematography and production values, and terrific performances throughout.
Anya Taylor-Joy is a goddess and I would die for her.
