Dawson Joyce’s review published on Letterboxd:
An instant all-time great William Shakespeare adaptation, The Tragedy of Macbeth is yet another stellar addition to the endlessly fascinating filmography of writer-director Joel Coen, with some of the best production design I've seen in a while, jaw-droppingly beautiful black-and-white cinematography (which sees Bruno Delbonnel in full-on sicko mode), and magnificent performances from Denzel Washington, Frances McDormand, especially Kathryn Hunter.
