I went into this movie expecting the history of the guitar with the help of 3 great guitarists. But it is more about these three great guitarists and their guitars and how they handle their most precious instrument.
We get Jimmy Page, the guitarist of Led Zeppelin, The Edge of U2 Fame and Jack White, founder of the White Stripes. All three are great guitar players, no questions asked. And they all have their own taste and style of music and guitar playing.
I didn't know that much about those three, of course I know their bands and I know their famous songs, but I learned much more about them.
Also as a musician myself I really enjoyed this documentary. Not only did we get to see cool guitars, we also got to listen to great music. I especially enjoyed hearing them play two songs together at the end.
All in all it's a very interesting documentary, well shot although sometimes a little confusing, but really a fun time. I'm rating it 3 out of 5 movies.
