Thirst ★★★★½

Thirst is another brilliant film from filmmaker Park Chan-wook who's fastly becoming one of my favorite directors.

The film takes one on a trip down a rapidly changing world as it slowly decends into madness. It's part macabre horror and obscure comedy which is perfectly balanced with the truly heartbreaking story of death and decay.

Song Kang-ho is perhaps one of the greatest actors working today as he's always completely swallowed by whatever role he takes on. Along with the great performance from Kim Ok-vin and the rest of the cast put together with the mastery of Park Chan-wook, it makes for a truly unique and ingenious film.
